There are so many different choices when it comes to paint protection. Before even thinking about the individual products and brands, you need to choose between waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings, and spray sealants.

So, I’ve put together a list of my favourite paint protection products and why I’d recommend them.

  • Garage Therapy /Three: Ceramic Sealant
  • Squid Ink Aquaphobe PTFE Wax
  • Bouncer’s Bead Juice
  • Garage Therapy /Two: Sigma
  • Pyramid Car Care QD Pro

Sealant

Garage Therapy /Three: Ceramic Sealant

I was on the quest for a great all-rounder that offered a glossy finish, great water-repellency, ease of application and durability, and I think I’ve found the winner with this product. It’s a sort-of hybrid between a ceramic coating and sealant (hence the name) which means you get the ease of application, but also a super slick, hydrophobic finish.

The other paint protection products I have on this list definitely all deserve a place here, but if you want a great all-rounder, then this is the one I’d go for.

Paste Wax

Squid Ink Aquaphobe

This might not be the most durable wax on the market but it’s definitely one of the most enjoyable products I’ve used. It’s one I’ve found myself reaching for quite a bit over summer, due to it’s great water behaviour and ease of removal. From my experience, it lasts around 2-3 months.

Spray and Rinse Sealant

Bouncer’s Bead Juice

This is one of the fastest ways of applying a durable layer of protection to a vehicle. You just spray it on the panel after it’s been washed and rinsed, but whilst it’s still wet. Then you immediately rinse it off using a power washer and dry the paint as normal. It leaves plenty of protection and can be used as a stand alone sealant, or to top up existing LSP. The great thing about this one is that it can also be applied to a dry panel, making it more versatile compared to most spray and rinse products on the market.

Hybrid Quick Detailer

Garage Therapy /Two: Sigma

This one is a cross between a quick detailer and sealant. It provides at least 6 weeks protection, it’s really easy to apply and leaves an amazingly slick and glossy finish behind. I like using it in combination with the GT Ceramic Sealant to top it up and keep the performance levels consistent.

Quick Detailer

Pyramid Car Care Quick Detailer Pro

If I’m looking for a really quick way to top up the protection on my car then I often reach for this one. It’s very easy to apply because it doesn’t need any time to cure, it smells great and offers great water behaviour. The maximum durability claim is 6 weeks but I’ve found that I get around 3-4 weeks of good performance before it needs topping up again.
