There are so many different choices when it comes to paint protection. Before even thinking about the individual products and brands, you need to choose between waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings, and spray sealants.
So, I’ve put together a list of my favourite paint protection products and why I’d recommend them and who for.
- Garage Therapy /Three: Ceramic Sealant
- Pyramid Car Care Ceramic Wax
- GB Detailing Hydro
- GYEON Q²M Wet Coat
- Garage Therapy /Two: Sigma
Garage Therapy /Three: Ceramic Sealant
I was on the quest for a great all-rounder that offered a glossy finish, great water-repellency, ease of application and durability, and I think I’ve found the winner with this product. It’s a sort-of hybrid between a ceramic coating and sealant (hence the name) which means you get the ease of application, but also a super slick, hydrophobic finish.
The other paint protection products I have on this list definitely all deserve a place here, but if you want a great all-rounder, then this is the one I’d go for.

Pyramid Car Care Ceramic Wax
If you’re looking for a premium paste wax option, then this is an excellent choice. It is super easy to apply and remove, looks fantastic, smells amazing and is super hydrophobic and durable. I’ve not found a wax that does everything this well before.

GB Detailing Hydro
This wax is super hydrophobic (hence the name!) and provides excellent durability, making it a great option for cold winter weather. It’s also excellent value and smells lovely too! I have tried Soft99 Fusso Coat in the past, and I think that Hydro is a miles better wax in terms of ease of application and rivals the water behaviour.

Spray and Rinse Sealant
GYEON Q²M Wet Coat
This is one of the fastest ways of applying a durable layer of protection to a vehicle. You just spray it on the panel after it’s been washed and rinsed, but whilst it’s still wet. Then you immediately rinse it off using a power washer and dry the paint as normal. It’s that simple! It leaves a super hydrophobic coating behind and a lovely slick finish.

Hybrid Quick Detailer/ Sealant
Garage Therapy /Two: Sigma
I don’t use quick detailer sprays after every single wash, but when I use one, it needs to be as hydrophobic as the sealants I use underneath. This one is a cross between a quick detailer and sealant. It provides at least 6 weeks protection, it’s really easy to apply and leaves an amazingly slick and glossy finish behind.
